As women-owned leaders with over two decades of experience in behavioral health and nonprofit leadership, we are committed to building capacity, increasing access to funding, and guiding organizations toward long-term impact. 

At Empower Training and Consulting, we offer comprehensive services in grant writing, consulting, and training, designed specifically for nonprofits, behavioral health programs, tribal organizations, community initiatives, and mission-driven teams.

Dana is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and a former leader within the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS), bringing a systems-level lens to her work in public health and recovery services. With more than two decades of experience, Dana specializes in grant development, policy alignment, and cross-sector strategy. As co-director, she helps organizations navigate complex funding landscapes and develop strong, sustainable programs that meet real community needs.

Nina is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and seasoned nonprofit leader with over 20 years of experience in the behavioral health field. As a co-director , she has led multidisciplinary teams, secured major funding, and built culturally responsive recovery and housing programs. Nina’s deep knowledge of trauma-informed care, systems work, and organizational leadership informs her consulting style: honest, thoughtful, and rooted in real-world impact.
